Elfab explores how rupture disc technology can contribute to SIL and "Near Miss" reporting

Most modern process plants now implement control and monitoring equipment to proactively manage variations in pressure using relief devices, in order to prevent explosions. The requirement within high integrity industries, like the Oil and Gas sector, to quantify levels of compliance with existing industry standards has led to the implementation of the Safety Integrity Level (SIL); a measurement of the reliability of protection systems in hazardous processes.

Pressure management specialist Elfab will be leading the discussion on this safety-critical issue during the 6th Annual Process Safety Implementation Summit in Abu Dhabi, UAE. According to the event organiser, IQPC, the Summit is the only dedicated event for process safety in the region and brings together industry professionals from all over the World.

Elfab is a leading global manufacturer of rupture discs, explosion vents and associated detection systems, so is well placed to deliver such an insight. Business Development Director, Russell Trotter will be running the seminar, which will go on to explore how rupture disc detection systems can enable a plant to be more proactive in its "Near Miss" reporting.

Alongside the conference, associate sponsor Elfab will be displaying its latest product developments within the exhibition area of the event, where experts will be on hand to discuss your specific application. If you are unable to make it to the conference, visitors at this year's ADIPEC show between 10-13 November 2014can also speak to Elfab's pressure intelligence experts in person.
