Hilton Abu Dhabi Announces Plans For An Iconic Food Festival - Executive Sous Chef Wong Song Ying To Fly in From Hilton Kuching, Malaysia

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 11 Sep 2014 - Following the success of the Turkish Food Festival, Hilton Abu Dhabi now brings Malaysian cuisine to the Capital. In partnership with Visit Malaysia, Pesta Malaysia is set to offer a variety of Malaysian delicacies at La Terrazza from 14 - 20 September, 7-11 pm.

To offer our guests an authentic experience, Hilton Abu Dhabi is flying in Executive Sous Chef Wong Song Ying from Hilton Kuching, who has over 14 years of culinary experience.

Wolfgang Maier, general manager at Hilton Abu Dhabi, stated, "Abu Dhabi is a renowned food capital with an explosive culinary scene. Pesta Makan Malaysia celebrates the quality and diversity of Malaysian Cuisine and is guaranteed to be a flavorful experience."  

Hailing from Malaysia, Hilton Kuching's Executive Sous Chef Wong Song Ying said, "I am very passionate about the food I create and believe in delivering the best quality to my guests.  My specialty is in continental cuisine.  For Pesta Malaysia at Abu Dhabi, I will be showcasing two Sarawakian signature dishes - barbecued fish with spicy shrimp paste and Sarawak laksa".

Sarawak laksa comes from the Malaysian state Sarawak, on the island of Borneo. It has a base of Sambal belacan, sour tamarind, garlic, galangal, lemon grass and coconut milk, topped with omelette strips, chicken strips, prawns, fresh coriander and lime.
