Abu Dhabi – As part of the Integrated Transport Center’s (ITC) endeavor to offer the required support to the People of Determination in order to integrate them within the society, ITC announced that People of Determination are eligible to obtain parking permits to use all dedicated parking along with standard and premium surface parking spaces for free in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Eng. Khamis Hamad Al Dahmani, Mawaqif Team Head, stated that People of Determination parking permits are issued to people with physical, visual impairment or multiple disabilities. People of Determinations and their companions are eligible to receiving the permit as long as they obtain People of Determination Card that is issued by the Ministry of Community Development and Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination.

Al Dahmani urges the public to comply with the rules and regulations. In case someone needed a People of Determination permit, but the conditions are not applied directly, the driver should refer to the Ministry of Community Development to assess his/her condition first. If the assessment result acquires that he/she is eligible to obtain People of Determination parking permit, the Ministry will issue a letter stating that. According to the letter, the requester will receive a permit from ITC for the vehicle registered with his/her name or his/her first or second relative as a companion.

Moreover, ITC affirmed that supporting and empowering the People of Determination is a national duty that requires the cooperation of all parties of the society.

To receive People of Determination parking permit, customers are requested to refer to ITC’s Customer Service Centre in the Traffic and Patrol Directorate in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from Sunday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
