Abu Dhabi - As part of its commitment to support the French educational institutions in the UAE, Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lycée Français Théodore Monod Abu Dhabi. The agreement was signed by Professor Eric Fouache, Vice Chancellor at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and Mr. Rimah Hammoud, Vice President of the Franco-Lebanese Association for Education and Culture (AFLEC).

The MoU aims to support the Lycée Français Théodore Monod Abu Dhabi during the next academic year by offering their students and employees access to the university’s facilities available on its state-of-the-art campus strategically located in the heart of Abu Dhabi city, on Al Reem Island.

Prof. Eric Fouache, Vice Chancellor at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, said: "As an Emirati- French University based in the UAE, we are committed to support the local community and the French educational institutions on all levels. This MoU with Lycée Français Théodore Monod is a great opportunity for their students to experience student’s life at Sorbonne Abu Dhabi and positively benefit from the various facilities we offer to enhance their academic journey”.

Mr. Rimah Hammoud, Vice President of the Franco-Lebanese Association for Education and Culture (AFLEC) said: "Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi is a prestigious institution that represents France in the United Arab Emirates today. It is a great honor for AFLEC and especially the Lycée Français Théodore Monod to formalize a pre-existing collaboration, which I hope will open bridges between our two institutions and lead our students towards excellence. This signature is a strong sign of solidarity and cooperation for the entire French community."

Sorbonne Abu Dhabi’s facilities include a multi-lingual library with over 100,000 books, 150 printed journals, 80,000 e-books, and 23 electronic databases that gives access to thousands of online documents, making it the largest francophone library in the GCC. It also has a full-fledged gym offering sports’ services as well as art and culture classes and activities that promote creativity among students.
