Amman, August 26, 2007 -King's Academy's Second Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) came to a successful ending in July, in part thanks to the contribution of OFFTEC Group, a leading Jordanian business solutions provider, committed to supporting and solidifying the country's educational system through technology and knowledge enhancement.

The SEP is an educational community outreach program for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students nominated on a merit basis from 36 directorates in Jordan as well as from United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA) schools. King's Academy organizes this separate and special program during summer break in order to identify talented students from underprivileged areas in Jordan and help them develop their skills in English and information technology.

Mr. Ibrahim Jararheh, OFFTEC IT Solutions General Manager said "OFFTEC and King's Academy are playing a part in preparing the next generation of talented and creative professionals in Jordan through the Summer Enrichment Program. The goal of the program is to strengthen skills in English and computers and to build students' self confidence through daily group sports and activities."

OFFTEC presented King's Academy with technology equipment and programs needed to equip the SEP lab, and these will remain available for King's Academy's use after the completion of the program. OFFTEC also offered complimentary professional assistance on PCs and Techno Notebooks, and installed an online portal to facilitate communication among enrolled SEP students. What's more, the program's most deserving student will receive a Notebook from OFFTEC to acknowledge their exceptional work.

Building on King's Academy's mission to attract top scholars and ensure diversity within its student body, SEP also serves as an early identification program for students from underprivileged areas in Jordan for possible admission into the Academy.

King's Academy
King's Academy is a co-educational private boarding school launched in August 2007 in Madaba, Jordan. Modeled on the style and structure of New England boarding schools, and inspired by King Abdullah II's experience at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, King's Academy also reflects the school's Jordanian foundations. The school is situated 30 minutes from Amman on a 575-dunum site and is comprised of 23 buildings. Once it reaches full capacity, King's Academy will have 600 students in grades 9 through 12, drawn from across the region as well as internationally. Students have the option of attending either as full-time or weekday boarders, and day students will be admitted in limited numbers.
