Air Arabia partners with Kingfisher in the region's first ever pact between two web-based carriers
Sharjah, December 27, 2005 - Air Arabia LLC, the first and only low-fares airline in the Middle East and North Africa, and Kingfisher Airlines, India's fastest growing airline and the winner of the award for "New Airline of the Year 2005" in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region, announced the region's first ever pact between two web-based carriers, whereby passengers of both the airlines can connect to each other's destinations through Air Arabia's website. This unique partnership offers Gulf travellers access to five more Indian cities.
Air Arabia's Head of Sales, A.K. Nizar said, "We are committed to make affordable travel accessible to more and more people and connect more destinations across this region. Our exceptional partnership with Kingfisher is yet another innovative offer from Air Arabia to offer convenient and value for money travel to those who really need it. We offer extremely good connections both ways as well as easy bookings."
Customers can now connect conveniently to Kolkata, Goa, Cochin, Bangalore and Delhi (Kingfisher Airlines' destinations from Mumbai). Booking with Air Arabia is quick and easy on the airline's website, www.airarabia.com, and selecting any of these destinations. With one reservation confirmation, customers will be able to travel on Air Arabia to Mumbai and then onwards to other Indian destinations on Kingfisher. This alliance marks a milestone in aviation history, featuring the creative implementation of web-based technology to make travel options simpler and more affordable, which is what both airlines believe in.
Air Arabia offers significant savings of up to 30% less than other airlines on these routes. Fares for one-way trips start from AED 399 from Sharjah to Goa, AED 499 from Sharjah to Bangalore, AED 520 from Sharjah to Cochin and to Delhi and AED 599 from Sharjah to Kolkata, excluding taxes and surcharges.
Mr. Manoj Chacko, General Manager Sales, Kingfisher Airlines said "Constant innovation is a key factor in the success of Kingfisher Airlines in India. We believe in providing the best to our guests. It is with this in mind that we have agreed to facilitate this connecting flight as an extension to Air Arabia within India. We will have access to international consumers of Air Arabia and in return provide them access to Indian consumers from cities they do not operate in."
Air Arabia also offers a convenient visit visa service for all passengers arriving in Sharjah. For more information customers can contact Air Arabia sales centres in Mumbai, Sharjah or Dubai.
