Kuwait, September 1st, 2010- Noor Telecom Company K.S.C.C. announces the appointment of five new directors to steer the company.

Sheikh Nawaf Jaber Al-Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

Chairman

Sheikh Nawaf is considered among the pioneers in the telecom industry in Kuwait, as he is a founding member of Wataniya Telecom. During his tenure with Wataniya Telecom, he held roles in several fields, including Senior Manager for Consumer Sales, and Senior Manager for Corporate, Government and VIP markets. Prior to those responsibilities, Sheikh Nawaf managed financial activities with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. Sheikh Nawaf is a Finance graduate from Kuwait University.  

Mr.Naser Abdul Mohsin Al-Marri

Vice-Chairman

Mr. Al-Marri is the Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Noor Financial Investment Company since 2005. He has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Noor Financial Investment Company, Mr. Al-Marri held the position of Director in the loan department and Direct Investment at the Kuwait Investment Authority from 1985 to 2004. He was member of the Government of Kuwait financing team for organizing the jumbo loan of US$ 5.5 billion for the reconstruction of Kuwait after the Gulf War and held the position of Associate at Bankers Trust Co. of UK, in Corporate Finance department covering Merchant Banking & Emerging Markets. 

Mr. Abdullatif Abdullah Al Asfour
Board Member

Mr. Al Asfour has a wide range of global experience in diverse sectors of investment, banking, food and hotels. Mr. Al-Asfour currently serves on the Board of Noor Financial Investment Company, Noor Jordan Kuwait Financial Investment Company and the Arab Industrial Investment Company. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Al Asfour has held various executive positions including Chairman & Managing Director of United Fisheries of Kuwait, Chairman of International Hotels Company, Vice Chairman of Kuwait Hotels Company and Tunis International Bank, Board member of Kuwait fund for Arab Economic Development and the United Gulf Bank.

Mr. Hussein Rifai

Board Member

Mr. Rifa has close to thirty years of experience in telecommunications. He started his career in Saudi Arabia, moved to Paris as Partner in telecommunications consultancy company I.T. CAL. He joined LibanCell, a cellular Operator in Lebanon, at its inception late 1994 in the position of Chairman General Manager and succeeded in building the operations, in an extremely challenging environment. In 2004, he started, as Chief Executive Officer, the development of the Comium Group whose activities cover mainly cellular operations, ISP, International traffic and software development in Africa and the Middle East. Late 2005, he founded Management & Development Company (MDC) a company specialized in the management of operators and consultancy. MDC is currently active in several countries in Africa, the Middle East and in the CIS and employs more than 60 professionals. 

Mr. Talal Bader Al-Musallam

Board Member

Mr. Al-Musallam holds along with his B.S. in Finance from Kuwait University, professional certificates in Stock Market Trading, Money Derivatives & Investment Tools, Technical Analysis of Financial Charts & Graph Representation and Portfolio Management & Investment Funds. Mr. Al-Musallam joined Noor Financial Investment Company in 2007 as International Research Analyst. Currently, he is an Assistant Manager in Treasury - Financial Institutions & Debt Capital Markets.
