Sharjah: Beachgoers at the Al Hamriyah Beach were in for a pleasant surprise when the Sharjah ‘Mobile Beach Library’ - an initiative launched by Knowledge without Borders (KWB), in cooperation with the Sharjah World Book Capital Office (SWBC Office) 2019 and the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) – was unveiled at the beach. The opening of the Mobile Beach Library in Hamriyah marks the launch of the sixth phase of the ‘Sharjah Beach Library’ initiative.
Apart from being able to choose from popular titles in many languages to read while relaxing on the beach, visitors were also able to enjoy an array of events and activities, including a session themed ‘A Dose of Culture’ presented by Dr. Osama Allala, Physical Activity & Health Consultant. The session was attended by a host of writers, authors and beachgoers.
Dr. Allala underscored the importance of physical activity, healthy diet and nutrition. The event included entertainment activities and fun beach games that focused on team building and creative thinking skills.
