Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Milestone, the complete interior and exterior design and landscaping solutions making a positive shift in the lifestyles of property owners in the region, celebrates its fifteenth year in the UAE, and a 10-year anniversary of its carpentry segment. Interior designer and landscapist extraordinaire, Sejal Nagjee, began Milestone from just creating flower and plant displays in July 2003, which has led to the innovative diversification of Milestone today.
Having previously done complete landscaping and interior designs for a multiplicity of homes and corporate spaces, and creating dynamic designs for over 17 years of her experience, Sejal is well-known for her Midas-touch in interior and exterior design.
In 2008, Milestone decided to get a professional license for carpentry and construct a joinery in Dubai Investment Park. This move was a tactical one to ensure the high-quality and vision of Milestone’s clients and designers were met with finished furnishings, fittings as well as indoor and outdoor structures. Since then, Milestone’s joinery has grown and moved to a larger joinery in Al Quoz, closer to Milestone’s Design Studio. The joinery of Milestone has been designing and building exterior pergolas, gazebos, shade structures, gates, fences, trellises, pet doors, seating and outdoor furnishings for a decade today.
Sejal Nagjee, Designer and Founder, Milestone, said, “My team and I have a lot to celebrate this year – not only does Milestone turn 15, but our carpentry and pool divisions turn 10 this year! I really enjoy coming up with wood designs that will enhance natural landscape and interior design elements. Wood, water, metal, fire, and earth are the five main elements of Feng Shui Design. These five elements balance the energy in any home. Our clients want to customize their living spaces and transform them into their own vision and brand. Commercial joineries simply do not have the time or means to produce personalized works. The details we offer make all the difference in creating a living space, which can represent the past, present, and future of their story.”
