Pact emphasises Metito's commitment to environment protection
Dubai - Metito, the international water treatment, desalination and wastewater treatment expert, joins the Emirates Environmental Group in the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility Programs for the environment. Metito is one of the founding members of EEG's CSR network, composed of environmentally aware companies, promoting and pursuing a vast array of eco-awareness initiatives in the UAE.
With its active involvement in the CSR program, Metito will further emphasize on its commitment to safeguard the environment, as part of its management, continuous improvement and reporting of direct and indirect impacts aimed at improving the world in which we live.
With this synergy, EEG believes in the value of building and maintaining long-standing partnerships with leading organisations committed to developing and shaping the CSR agenda. Metito's efforts to help sustain the environment within the communities around us will get a fillip with its involvement in the EEG program.
Mrs Habiba Al Marashi, Chairperson of EEG, said: "We thank Metito for being a founding-member of our CSR network. Being a wastewater treatment expert, Metito has played a vital role in environment protection. Within their role in various projects, especially in wastewater and oilfields sector, they also have the responsibility to develop with care and to follow eco-friendly practices. It may be noted that a growing number of businesses are fast realizing that contributing to society and the environment actually strengthens their operations. As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility program, most international companies implement socially responsible initiatives, like community relations and environmental friendliness beyond regulatory requirements.
