A new cutting-edge car show that delivers a weekly dosage of high-octane adrenaline!
Dubai, November 22nd, 2010: MBC launched today its new weekly show, "Driven", dedicated to meet and satisfy the insatiable appetite of diehard car enthusiasts. Focusing on all the elements of pimped cars, speed and action, it is the first Arabic production to air on MBC Action.
At the press conference today, Mazen Hayek, official spokesman and Group Director of PR and Commercial, said " Driven is a cutting-edge show that is geared predominantly towards the ever-growing Saudi and Arab male youth who are car lovers and motorsports enthusiasts". Hayek also confirmed that the show reaches out to the passions and interests of the youth because of its "spirit" that meets their innovative ideas, encourages their talents and finally reflects it on-screen."
Hayek also focused on the specialty of the show which lies in the strong MBC production quality that delivers a high editorial package which is important in catering to the tastes and the qualities of the motorsports industry in the region, contrary to the other shows that are subtitled in Arabic.
The show also highlights the lifestyle appeal that goes with car culture such as fashion, gear, gadgets and music. It also contains segments that offer news, commentaries and opinions on the latest, hottest, greenest and fastest vehicles in the market .
Finally, Hayek emphasized on the importance of responsible and safe driving on public roads as well as the continuation of the awareness campaigns targeting the youth, reminding the audience of the unfortunate statistical figure which indicates that 1 victim dies of a car accident every fifteen minutes, thus contributing to the increase of road accidents worldwide.
Driven airs tomorrow and every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m GMT and 8:00 p.m KSA.
