Doha, Qatar -6 May, 2012: With its contemporary take on Lebanese food, Liza at The Pearl-Qatar has redefined dining elegance in Doha and taken the cuisine beyond the familiar "mezze".

From the warm Lebanese welcome through to the stunningly stylized black, white and turquoise décor, Liza has established itself in the growing cosmopolitan metropolis of Qatar and is a firm favorite among residents and visitors to The Pearl-Qatar.

Liza offers fine Lebanese cuisine and is described as "an art of living, a state of mind" by its co-founder, Ziad Asseily, with its signature music exclusively created for the restaurants, serves up fusion cuisine to its' loyal customers, straddling east and west, Arabic and French with a touch of a Qatari influence.

Operated by Hospitality Development Company (HDC), Liza has wowed diners with modern takes on traditional recipes like kebbe, fattouche and hommus. Liza also scales new heights with a menu where fish, seafood and chicken dishes are served with Lebanese spices but French sophistication.

Created in Paris in 2005, the restaurant has an authentic but modern approach to promoting a new Lebanese cuisine and opened its first overseas branch at The Pearl-Qatar in 2010, immediately redefining Arabic food.

"Liza takes home cooking to a whole new level by taking its essential elements and giving them a fine dining twist," says Eric Leprevost, General Manager, Food and Beverage Operations at HDC. "It serves fish as is the way in southern Lebanese cuisine; it serves quails and also freekah, which is a traditional green wheat dish.  We are also now serving kebab on a mini grill that we bring to your table. There's much in Liza's menu that you won't find in other traditional Lebanese restaurants and that's what makes it so unique."

Established in 2007, HDC is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Development Company (UDC) focusing on owning, developing and operating world-class hospitality projects and brands such as Liza. HDC owns, develops and operates world-class hospitality projects and businesses.

Liza is located at Porto Arabia and serves up its fine dining concept seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
