Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Board Member of Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre, visited Ismaili Community in Dubai, where he was received on behalf of the Ismaili Centre in Dubai, by Amiruddin Thanawala President of Ismaili Community in the UAE and his Vice President Aziz Merchant, in the presence of Mrs. Mariam Othman, General Manager of Rashid Center, and a group of active members of the Ismaili Community led by Nizar Shariff and Murtaza Hashwani, Alykhan Lalani, Yasmin Kassam, Sumeira Hashwani, Nishat Jiwani and Aleem Shariff.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum has toured around the centre and was briefed on the programs, objectives and activities of Al Aghakhan Development Web around the world, which is a group of private international and non-denominational agencies working to improve the conditions opportunities of living of people in specific regions of the world, His Highness also visisted Al Aghakhan Centre for Early Learning, which falls under the educational services of Aghakhan, which seeks to build capacity to achieve the integration of children with special needs, stressing that Dubai and the United Arab Emirates land of tolerance and intercultural dialogue between the various components of society and walks of life without discrimination and on the basis of mutual respect.
The president of Ismaili Community has expressed his happiness for this visit, confirming his commitment to interact with the various components of society and to support the humanitarian projects and centers which dealing with the childhoods' issues with special needs, and has been agreed to set up joint activities serve this group of students.
The end of visit the President of Ismaili Community has presented an honorary crystal model of Ismaili Community to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
It is worth mentioning that Ismaili Community is located in the old Bur Dubai, and it was built on an area of 13,000 square meters, was donated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai in 1982 to His Highness Prince Karim Agha Khan on the occasion of the silver jubilee of his leadership to Ismaili Community.
