Batelco Jordan signed a technical agreement with Irbid Private University to provide the institution of higher education with a 1MB Internet leased line. The agreement was signed at Irbid Private University between Professor Sultan Abu Orabi, president of the university and Mr. Marwan Juma, CEO of Batelco Jordan.

This agreement will enable the university to provide a high speed and permanent Internet line for its students and academic staff. At the same time Batelco Jordan will expand its presence in the academic sector and its share in the Jordanian education and training markets, which at present includes dozens of universities, colleges, and schools across the Kingdom.

On this occasion, Professor Sultan Abu Orabi, president of Irbid Private University, said: "Our university is proud of its strategic approach in keeping pace with the technological and scientific developments, and providing the latest educational and research resources for all students and academic staff. At Batelco Jordan we have found all we need to connect to the World Wide Web whether for its technology, reliable service, or the technical support and level of expertise we seek."

On his part Mr. Marwan Juma, welcomed Irbid Private University as a new member of Batelco Jordan's client list in the academic sector and expressed hope that his company will live up to expectations. He highlighted the most important services his company provides to the institutions of higher education that meet the dynamic requirements of the academic and educational process. He identified this as the reason behind earning the trust of this important sector, which has especially valued the quality of the technologies and technical support services provided to students, professors, and technical staff around the clock, all year round.
