The recent accreditation reinforces its dominance across all certifications- natural diamonds, gemstones, jewelry & now laboratory grown diamonds.
Dubai: International Gemological Institute, the global leader for gems & jewelry grading has been awarded ISO 17025 accreditation for laboratory grown diamonds identification and grading process. By meeting the extensive criteria of this standard, IGI proves its commitment towards providing full transparency in regards to certification process and consumer confidence on IGI grading results across all their labs.
The ISO 17025 accreditation is the most important standard for testing and certification laboratories. It confirms that the accredited laboratory is able to produce precise and accurate test results using calibration data, and traceability of measurements to the best quality standards.
Speaking on the milestone, Shaunak Shastree, General Manager IGI, said “This milestone underpins our competency in gemological services and solidifies IGI’s prestige within the gem and jewelry industry. With this certification, IGI’s technology, people and process have been vetted against rigid quality standards outlined by ISO. We are the trusted certification of choice for gems & jewelry across the globe and extend this recognition to consumers by the promise to constantly be a paragon of reliability.”
With over 300 jewelry partner outlets in the UAE, IGI’s longstanding history of instilling confidence in shoppers starts with its world-class evaluation and grading of fine jewelry, gemstones, natural diamonds, and laboratory grown diamonds, providing the public with peace of mind for valued jewelry. Each jewelry piece certified by the Institute is accompanied by an IGI report that outlines specifics of the jewelry, including the all-important 4C’s (Cut, Clarity, Color and Carat weight) and is graded with the strict international standards and security features for which IGI is known.
