The two major players in the Islamic finance training arena become strategic partners to ensure that the industry enjoys the best international qualifications
IFAAS (Islamic Finance Advisory & Assurance Services - www.ifaas.com), the international consultancy specialising in Islamic finance, today announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the BIBF that aims to establish a strategic partnership between the two organisations. Under the terms of the agreement, BIBF and IFAAS will develop innovative Islamic finance training programmes and undertake cutting-edge research. BIBF is the leading provider of both conventional and Islamic finance education and training in Bahrain, and the MOU enables the Islamic finance players to benefit from cumulative experience and expertise of IFAAS and BIBF in delivering multi-lingual courses, and significant cross-border and cross-sector experience.
The MOU is effective immediately, and the first joint course - Training Programme for Shariah Scholars: Fundamentals of Finance and Banking Operations - will take place in September 2014. Further courses will be held in the future to cover all 3 main languages Arabic, English and French.
Hani Redha, Head of Centre for Islamic Finance, BIBF, said: "We are extremely pleased to be working with IFAAS as strategic partners to expand the horizons of Islamic finance. By partnering with IFAAS we have been able to extend our own offer immediately: we have increased our outreach, the number of languages we can deliver our courses in, and the people in our dedicated professional team."
Shaher Abbas, Director, Shariah Compliance & Product Development, IFAAS, said: "IFAAS has a strong focus on strategic partnerships: working with credible, leading training providers - no matter where in the world they are based - who want to deliver the best Islamic finance training. It is the strength of these partnerships that helps us to maintain our position at the forefront of the dynamic and fast moving Islamic finance industry.
"It is for this reason that we are delighted to announce that we have signed an MOU with BIBF: a renowned player that has built a reputation as the provider of choice for building capacity and developing human capital in the Islamic finance industry worldwide."
