The Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC), Sharjah has announced the results for the election of its Chairman and his team for the term 2012-14.
The Council has unanimously elected Sudesh K. Aggarwal and his 11 member team. This was stated by Sri Priyaa, Director-General of IBPC Sharjah in a Press release issued on Wednesday.
The newly elected Board consists of Sudesh K Aggarwal, Chairman and his 11 member team of Dr Sunny Kurian ,Sanjeev Bhatia, K V Shamsudheen, Dr Abhay K. Pande, Kalyan Bhattacharya, Lalit Rathaur, Lalu Samuel, Saju Augustine , Tanvir Kanji, Dr. GM Bajpai, and Mr. Shabbir Rokadia.
The Annual General Meeting - AGM for the year 2011 and the elections for the term 2012- 14 took place at the ITEC m.e. premises where IBPC Sharjah secretariat is located.
Serving his term for the 6th time in a row, Mr. Sudesh K. Aggarwal thanked the IBPC Members and the Members of the Governing Board for their support during his tenure and added that IBPC Sharjah has progressed in strength since its inception 10 years ago. Commenting on the achievements of the Council during his tenure he said that IBPC Sharjah is the only Business council that publishes a quarterly newsmagazine which updates the Indian business community in UAE of the business happenings back home. Mr. Aggarwal also said that IBPC Sharjah has also contributed funds from its humanitarian fund account that was set up 2 years ago to the deserving Indians who languish in UAE jails.
