HSBC Bank Middle East has announced the appointment of two senior managers in the Qatar offices.  Robert DeGama, who has been with the bank for over 30 years, has been promoted to Chief Risk Officer in addition to his current role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and Dimitri Giokas has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.

Robert DeGama has played an imperative role in the management team over the last number of years and has a wealth of experience in the full spectrum of financial services. 

Dimitri Giokas joined HSBC in July 2004 as an international manager, following previous experience in the banking sector in London, UK. His appointments with HSBC have taken him to Asia Pacific, Dubai and Vietnam where he successfully led HSBC's local incorporation project. He joined HSBC in Qatar, where he will focus on the bank's operations and processes. With strong organizational and project management skills, Dimitri Giokas brings HSBC Qatar the capability to streamline business processes, drive efficiency and improve the customer experience.
