HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office, Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI) Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Rashid and Secretary General of the CSCCI Dr Fahad bin Saleh Al-Sultan. The meeting was also attended by KHC's Mr. Ahmad Bin Fahad Altobaishi, Assistant Executive to the Chairman and Ms. Manal Alshammary and Ms. Roaa Sharaf from the protocol Department.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of CSCCI congratulated Prince Alwaleed on receiving the medal of "Legion of Honor," with the rank of Commander by the French President, Jacques Chirac in an official ceremony held at the Elyse Palace in Paris. The members of the Council of Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed their admiration of the role of Prince Alwaleed's major investments in promoting a positive image of Saudis, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and of Arabs and Muslims in general. HRH Prince Alwaleed and his guests discussed the recent flow of the Saudi Stock Market along with other social and economic issues.
Towards the end of the meeting, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Rashid, Chairman of CSCCI, requested a contribution from HRH in order to complete the erection of the new CSCCI building in Riyadh. The construction is presently made possible by the private financial support of a group of Saudi businessmen. Mr. Al-Rashid commended HRH Prince Alwaleed renowned generosity and explained that as a prominent semi-government division, which deals with numerous foreign entities, the building's well-designed appearance is essential.
