Dubai, UAE, March 28th 2006 - HP, the Middle East's largest technology and solutions provider, will demonstrate the latest in biometrics security over notebooks and handhelds at the Identity Summit Dubai.  HP experts will demonstrate innovative biometric identification products which provide highly secure, convenient and fast authentication in order to help companies protect data within mobile workforces.  HP is an associate sponsor of the summit, which takes place from 25th to 28th March and will offer special discounts for visitors to the show on the HP nx6125 notebook and HP iPAQ hx2790 and iPAQ hw6515 handhelds.

The HP Compaq nx6125 Notebook PC series, powered by Mobile AMD Turion 64, combines mobility and connectivity with affordability, making the latest security technology available to cost-conscious professionals.   The thin and light notebook will be offered at a special discount of US$100, through a voucher available to the Identity Summit visitors.

Visitors can also take advantage of a US$50 discount voucher for the HP iPAQ hw6515 and iPAQ hx2790.  Offering an innovative biometric fingerprint reader, the HP hx2790 provides fast and secure authentication for individuals eliminating the need for insecure passwords.  The HP iPAQ hw6515 offers multiple messaging, navigation and imaging capabilities in a stylish and lightweight design. Both products deliver ease of use, security and reliability in one handheld device.

Safeguarding individuals' information from unauthorized access, biometrics security products use retinal scans, fingerprint scans and voice recognition, to access secure networks. HP has led the way in mobile security, introducing the industry's first handheld to integrate biometrics security, wireless LAN network access and Bluetooth wireless capability in 2002. Since then, HP's innovation in wireless biometric solutions has continued with the latest generation of products, showcased at the Identity Summit, providing anytime, anywhere computing in a highly secure environment.

"HP continues to drive the future of computing with innovative mobile PCs and handhelds that connect people and businesses with their critical information in a secure environment," said Hanan Kamal, Marketing Manager, Personal Systems Group and SMB, HP Middle East.

"During the Identity Summit, we will be demonstrating the latest technology behind biometrics security in order to help companies in the region improve business efficiency via mobility, without compromising security. The products showcased at the show utilize the biometrics features which in the future will become a standard in personal information privacy," added Kamal.

Visitors to the show will be able to attend demonstrations of the HP Compaq nx6125 notebook, the HP iPAQ hx2790 and iPAQ hw6515, as well as take advantage on special show discounts.  The HP Compaq nx6125 laptop and HP iPAQ hx2790 are both equipped with biometric finger print readers that improve safety and security and void the use of the hack-prone traditional typed password.

The Identity Summit takes place at the Dusit Hotel in Dubai from 25th to 28th of March and includes an exhibition and workshops.  The HP stand is located at left of the main entrance in booth number five, and the promotion will be valid from 26th March until 26th April 2006.  Products must be purchased at Sharaf DG, Ibn Battuta Mall Dubai and Aptec.
