Beirut's Latest Hotels Take on Five New Executives

Sister hotels, Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace, today announced five senior appointments to spearhead activity and lead the operational teams across the two properties.

The new team at the hotels include:

Georges Karam, Director, Sales & Marketing - Georges brings 12 years of hospitality experience to the role and comprehensive knowledge of the city of Beirut.  He has a team of 20 members and is responsible for all commercial activity including sales, groups, conferences, events, marketing and communications. 

Rolf Jan Van Zeijl, Director of Operations - Previously working with food & beverage operations for Hilton Worldwide MEA, Rolf will lead the teams from F&B, front office, security, housekeeping, engineering and spa and fitness.  Rolf is a seasoned professional with 12 years of hospitality experience.

Kasper Wigen, Marketing & Communications Manager - Kasper joins Hilton's Beirut hotels from Hilton Al Ain, UAE and Hilton Copenhagen Airport. Kasper will be responsible for all marketing, PR and communications activity for Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace.

Trevor Bennett, Senior Chief Engineer - With a 40 year engineering background, Trevor brings a wealth of experience to this new role.  He has previously worked with Hilton London Olympia and Hilton Stansted with responsibility for overseeing major refurbishment projects.

Jean Francois Pelaez, Executive Chef - With prior Michelen-star experience, Jean brings a 25 year culinary experience to this new role.  He has worked in Europe as well as Africa with a number of notable international hospitality companies.  He will be responsible for all culinary and kitchen areas and will report directly to the Director of Operations.
