H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil and GPIC Chairman laid the foundation stone of the GPIC club project situated in West Eker.
On this occasion , H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa said he was pleased with this vital project to provide recreational facilities for the employees and their families. He reiterated the Board's support for all the facilities that serve the employees and their families and providing a convenient work environment for them. It is essential to promote the teamwork spirit at the place of work and outside it in order to further familiarity and close relations among them through social and sports activities, he added.
GPIC Chairman said this facility would positively reflect upon the employees' productivity. The construction of the Club is a gesture from the Board for all the employees for their sincerity and loyalty that have been the key reasons for GPIC's success on various levels.
In a speech delivered during the ceremony, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, General Manager expressed his thanks to H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa who laid the foundation stone for the GPIC club project. He added that such initiative was a demonstration of the unlimited support for all the Company's projects and a recognition by the Board of the efforts made by the staff.
In his comments, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed praised the support given by H.E. Chairman and members of the Board for this vital project that was considered as the most beautiful gift from the Company to its staff. This club, he added, will help promote loyalty among the Company's employees and will reflect upon their productivity and creativity.
The projected club will include a muli-purpose sports hall that will comprise a basketball court, a volleyball court, a swimming pool, recreational areas, a cafeteria, a football pitch, a health club, a tennis court and other facilities.
The event was attended by Mr. Nasser Ahmed Al Sayyari, Managing Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Sharyan Board Member, executive management members and senior staff, chairman and members of GPIC trade union, M/S G. P. Zacharidades (Overseas) LTD., Ismail Khonji Associates, Intec Bahrain and number of invited guests.
