As part of the efforts and joint action to achieve the strategic goals of the vision of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Ruler of the Emirate of Ajman and a member of the UAE Supreme Council, and H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, in developing and strengthening the economic structure of the Ajman and providing the best services and high quality to customers. The Department of Port and Customs in Ajman and the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) signed a joint cooperation agreement on the level of Service aimed at encouraging and supporting effective cooperation between the two parties and establishing a strong structure for providing high-quality and efficient services in the shortest possible time, in order to achieve the satisfaction and happiness of customers.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Port and Customs Department in Ajman, and H.E. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Muwaiji, the Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). The signing ceremony was attended s, by H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the ACCI.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Department of Port and Customs in Ajman, said that the signing of the agreement with the ACCI comes within the framework of strengthening economic partnerships between the Department and the federal and local government agencies in the UAE, and among the many initiatives undertaken by the Department to achieve its goals in supporting Ajman's economy, facilitating commercial movement, and keeping abreast of local and international economic developments in this context.

Al Nuaimi stated that the agreement with the ACCI includes mechanisms to consolidate cooperation and coordination between the two parties to facilitate and improve the customer experience and make it an exceptional experience characterized by ease and ease, by simplifying joint procedures and effective linking between the two parties to create a single window for common services provided to customers, and the two parties will also exchange information related to providing data and statistics. necessary to develop the work of the two parties and contribute to the achievement of their common goals.

For his part, H.E. Abdullah Al-Muwaiji stressed the importance of the cooperation agreement and its role in improving the levels of quality of service provision and reducing the delivery period, which will have a positive impact on increasing the satisfaction and happiness of customers, and thus increasing the volume of foreign trade of Ajman, which will have a great impact on the growth of the volume of Ajman's exports, especially in light of the momentum, industrial and commercial growth witnessed by the UAE and Ajman, since the statistics indicate that the volume of exports and re-exports from Ajman amounted to about AED 9 billion for the year 2022, and the total number of certificates of origin issued by the Ajman reached 39,426 certificates for export and re-export.

Al-Muwaiji explained that the effective partnership between both the Department of Port and Customs in Ajman and the ACCI will enhance the targeting of pioneering proactive services that support the economic competitiveness of Ajman, indicating that the cooperation agreement will allow the development of plans and initiatives to support the continuous improvement of service levels by relying on the quality and excellence systems used by both sides.

He affirmed that the ACCI is keen to intensify its partnerships with local and federal government agencies to exchange experiences and develop services by adopting best practices and standards to ensure facilitating the customer’s journey, to achieve the ACCI’s goals aimed at establishing a participating approach that ensures the development of flexible future policies and strategies that enhance the contribution of various sectors in increasing Ajman's GDP.

The two parties agreed to take a set of executive measures to achieve maximum benefit from the agreement, including the establishment of a joint mechanism to follow up on the implementation of the programs and activities agreed upon, and thus to prepare periodic evaluation reports with specific performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and sustainability of the level of cooperation between the two parties.

The agreement also provided for cooperation in establishing joint work teams to ensure the achievement of their strategic goals and contribute to achieving Ajman's strategy, holding events, organizing conferences, meetings, awareness seminars, and workshops in common areas between the two parties, participating in foreign exhibitions, and cooperating in developing promotional plans for Ajman's economic activities.
