DUBAI, UAE - 23 May 2013 -  The momentum for the Global App Summit, the biggest mobile app conference in the Middle East, taking place in Dubai on June 4-5, has reached a crescendo. Osman Sultan, chief executive officer, Du will be inaugurating the summit and will be bestowing awards to the App Idol contest winners. This first-ever app exhibition together enthusiastic and passionate mobile app companies, developers, entrepreneurs, experts, venture capitalists and students to celebrate the power of mobile app technology.  With several keynote sessions, an exhibition and a developer pitch zone, the summit will foster the sharing of ideas, build networking opportunities and finally entertaining attendees with the first-ever concert orchestrated on tablets. 

 The event provides a platform to the businesses, consumers, companies, individual developers and the common public to gather and share latest technologies of mobile apps. Entries to the App Idol contest have surpassed expected numbers and the contest closes on May 27th. Submissions can be made on the website and the categories include: Arabic app, healthcare & education, retail, gaming, entertainment and media.

The summit takes place at the Ritz Carlton DIFC in Dubai from June 4-5.
