21 December 2013, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: H.E. Saif Mohamed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority welcomed in his Office in Sheikh Zayed Air Navigation Centre on Tuesday 17 December 2013,the Director General of the National Agency for Civil Aviation of the Republic of Burkina Faso, H.E. Abel Sawadogo, who was visiting the UAE accompanied by high-level delegation including Mr. Salifou Zanga, Air Inspector, in order to identify the best practice, modernization and development in the aviation sector in UAE.
The discussion centered on closer cooperation between the GCAA and the ANAC, viewing implementation of regulation system, granting training programs, exchanging experience and the continuous challenges in the aviation business worldwide. The visitors were then escorted to all GCAA's Sectors where they were given the opportunity of witnessing live operations and briefed on the technology which is in use at GCAA.
H.E Saif Al Suwaidi briefed the Burkina Faso Director General on the UAE Strategic Plan, the development of the aviation sector in the UAE and expansions in the UAE airports, the Aviation Safety and the regulatory model implemented in the GCAA, the GCAA initiatives to optimize the UAE Airspace to provide greater flight efficiency for the continuous traffic growth as well as UAE initiative for enhancing Foreign Operators safety standards by introducing the latest international safety measures and the Air Traffic Management in the UAE.
H.E Sawadogo praised the development of the aviation industry in UAE and the accomplishments of this sector due to the vision of the UAE Government and valuable steps towards excellence in aviation and expressed his sincere appreciation for the hosting in UAE.
