Dubai: GAC Logistics has extended its sponsorship of racing driver Viktor Jensen as he moves up a gear into the British F3 International Series, driving for Alan Docking Racing.

Last year, GAC Logistics sponsored the 19-year-old Iceland native when he drove in the Formula Palmer Audi (FPA) Championship.  A multiple FPA race-winner, Viktor finished second in the 2006 Championship on 276 points.

Bill Hill, Group Vice President, Logistics Services, said, "Sport is a key brand-building platform for GAC. We chose motor-racing as it's a blend of speed and precision - exactly what our customers look for in a logistics partner. Our continued sponsorship of top performing racing driver Viktor Jensen will enable us to further widen our global brand visibility and relevance to customers, partners, suppliers and employees."

The sponsorship deal covers the 2007 racing season and the GAC brand will be seen on Viktor's car, racing overalls and race helmet.  This sponsorship also opens up business opportunities in a highly specialised niche area.

As a GAC Logistics brand ambassador, Viktor will devote time in 2007 to GAC for publicity and endorsement. This will include special track days where GAC customers will be given the opportunity to have an up close and personal experience with Viktor in his GAC-backed, Dallara F304 Honda.

Viktor has had an impressive start to the British F3 International 2007 season, coming third in the first contest and second in the next race at Oulton Park in Cheshire over the Easter weekend.  He currently ranks second in the National Class.  At 19, he is the youngest driver in his class and is determined to make his mark on the F3 series. This fiercely competitive F3 series has been producing dozens of winning F1 drivers over the years, including Jenson Button, David Coulthard, Takuma Sato, Mika Hakkinen and the late Ayrton Senna, and drawing increasing worldwide interest.

All British F3 International Series races are broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK and on Motors TV in the rest of Europe. More information on Viktor Jensen and F3 available on  www.viktorjensen.co.uk and http://fota.co.uk
