Dubai, 09 July 2007: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the world's most global hotel company, has revealed that 'InterContinental Residence Suites Dubai Festival City' is in the final stages of completion and bookings are now being taken for 1 November 2007 onwards.

The Suites are already proving popular with both regional and international travellers, with the first booking being made by a prominent British businessman who will stay in one of the luxury apartments towards the end of the year.  Existing InterContinental Residence Suites properties are successful high-end accommodation options in both Beirut, Lebanon and within the Citystars complex in Cairo, Egypt.

For travellers looking for up-scale, extended residential accommodation, InterContinental Residence Suites Dubai Festival City offers 212 exceptionally stylish apartments encompassing studios as well as one, two and three bedroom suites.  Located in the heart of the ambitious, mixed-use Dubai Festival City development, the property also has a Royal Suite penthouse with stunning panoramic creek views and its own spa treatment room.

"We have a truly international team with both local and international knowledge giving us fantastic opportunity to provide a very personalised service to all of our guests," said Steven Greenwood, who has over 11 years of experience with IHG and has recently been appointed as Hotel Manager, InterContinental Residence Suites Dubai Festival City. "Making the property available for bookings from November has re-confirmed the enormous demand for this type of upscale, extended residential accommodation as the market in Dubai continues to mature and diversify."

Other facilities include a boardroom, three superbly appointed guestrooms, a fitness room and private spa treatment room. The rooftop garden and private balconies provide breathtaking views of the waterfront and the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road skyline.

Open to all guests, the food and beverage outlets include 'Mezza Luna,' a casual Italian restaurant, a coffee shop offering take-away deli service, and Level 17, a sophisticated lounge boasting a 180-degree view over the creek. Residents also have the option of dining at one of the restaurants located at the nearby InterContinental Dubai Festival City and Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City and signing it back to their InterContinental Residence Suites accommodation.

For those wanting leisure time, there is a 24 hour gym equipped with the latest technology, including the 'Kinesis' wall, an indoor, 25 metre, temperature controlled lap pool, a children's splash pool and a spa pool on the sun deck.  For corporate travellers who regularly require on-site business facilities, InterContinental Residence Suites has a 24-hour business centre, two meeting rooms and two offices, both of which guests can hire to use as their own for the duration of their stay.

InterContinental Residence Suites Dubai Festival City has its own management and concierge teams, and while guests can enjoy additional facilities at the nearby InterContinental and Crowne Plaza hotels via a complimentary shuttle service provided throughout the development, it is a free-standing, fully serviced hotel apartment concept.

With the Festival Waterfront Centre now open all three properties will have a direct link to the shopping centre, which covers 2.1 million square feet and will be home to more than 550 retail outlets and over 90 restaurants and cafés.  While shoppers can shop until they drop, golf fans are spoilt for choice with Dubai Creek Golf Club just a few minutes away and Al Badia championship golf course located within Dubai Festival City itself.
