Continuing on its unending support towards the Healthcare sector within the Sultanate; Eshraqa, Khimji Ramdas’ Social Development Arm donated a variety of medical equipment to Fanja and Bidbid Health Centers along with Izki Hospital located in the Wilayats of Bidbid and Izki. The donation marks Eshraqa’s objective towards sustenance of the government initiatives to improve healthcare services in Oman.
The inaugural event to commemorate the occasion was graced with dignitaries such as His Excellency Dr. Hamoud bin Ali Al Marshoudi, Wali of Bid Bid; Dr. Salim Hamad Al Busaidi, General Directorate of Health Affairs Interior Dakahlia Governorate; Dr. Muna bint Ali Al Taie, Director of Bid Bid Health Center; and Dr. Khalil Omer Abdullah, Head of Department Izki Hospital along with and Abdul Kareem bin Surur Al Jabri, Member of Municipal Council, Wilayat of Samail and Amna Al Balushi, Member of Municipal Council, Wilayat of Seeb. Nailesh Khimji, Director of Khimji Ramdas represented Eshraqa at the event held on 24 April 2019.
Eshraqa’s donation included provision of ECG Machines, an Emergency Patient Trolley; Electronic Patient beds; an Autoclave Machine; a Crush cart Trolley; Dressing Set; Digital Thermometers; Nebulizers; Patient Monitors and Delivery Beds as a part of its commitment to healthcare as a core pillar of its CSR programme.
Commenting on the extended support, Nailesh Khimji, Director Khimji Ramdas, said, “On behalf of Eshraqa we are extremely proud to have assisted the health centers with the needs of their patients and the required equipment. Our donation is in tandem with our commitment to provide the people of Oman with access to the best in class service and medical treatment in accordance to the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and we remain committed to help clinics and hospitals across Oman and globally.”
Highlighting the significance of this momentous support; His Excellency Dr. Hamoud bin Ali al Marshoudi, Wali of Bidbid said, “I would like to thank Eshraqa – the social development arm of Khimji Ramdas for its support to the health care sector within the Wilayat of Bidbid. Organisations such as Eshraqa have set a strong benchmark towards responsibility for community and health services development within the Sultanate.”
“There are no words to express our gratitude to Eshraqa for this service towards the community. Khimji Ramdas remains a frontrunner with its initiatives in the CSR arena; offering assistance towards health care, education and community well-being. Their valuable donation will benefit the community, with special emphasis towards emergency situations,” Dr. Salim Hamad al Busaidi, Director of Basic Health Care Unit, General Directorate of Health Affairs, Governorate of Health Affairs added while thanking Eshraqa for their valuable assistance;
Echoing gratitude towards Khimji Ramdas and its subsidiary Eshraqa; Amna al Balushi, Member of Municipal Council, Wilayat of Seeb said, “We appreciate the initiatives of Eshraqa towards community health services across Oman. The donation of medical equipment to the health centers in Bidbid and Izki is an excellent endeavour from Khimji Ramdas which speaks volumes of their determination to work in tandem with the government sector. Private sector and public sector collaboration is extremely important for the benefit and growth of the people of Oman.”
“We are extremely thankful to Eshraqa for the medical equipment received today at the Fanja and Bidbid Health Centers”, said Dr. Muna Bint Ali al Taie, Director of Bidbid Health Center. “The equipment included patient beds for wards and the emergency room along with other medical equipment that will assist in serving the Omani citizens.”
Additionally, Dr. Badria Bint Ibrahim Bin Nasser Al Aamri, Specialist Physician and Head of Medicine Department, Izki Hospital commented on the necessity of world-class medical equipment. She said, “I would like to take the opportunity to thank Eshraqa for their valuable donation of medical equipment including Nebulisation machines and portable ECG equipment that is an important and vital addition to the existing emergency room and will add more value to medical care provided.”
Since its inception in 2015, Eshraqa has worked relentlessly in Wilayats of Samail, Bid Bid and Izki delivering a variety of equipment to schools, mosques and hospitals in addition to infrastructure expansion within these sectors. Eshraqa aims to empower the society with initiatives that are at the forefront of sustainable development. Its judicious investment and support towards healthcare, education and social welfare projects have had a long-lasting impact on the growth of the nation.
