The Epson EB-G5350 combines superior installation flexibility and control with outstanding image quality
Epson has announced the Middle East launch of its EB-G5350, a sleek new 3LCD large venue installation projector that combines superior installation flexibility and control with outstanding image quality.
The Epson EB-G5350 projector produces bright clear images with great colour fidelity on screens up to 300 inches (diagonal). Image quality is superior in ambient lighting and daylight as well, providing flexible usage. This high quality is due to two proprietary technologies - Epson 3LCD technology that provides natural colour reproduction and the Epson compensation filter that achieves a native contrast ratio of up to 1000:1.
The new projector is among the brightest in the industry, boasting up to 5000 lumens to ensure clarity and quality even in large and light environments such as lecture halls and auditoriums. The projector weighs less than 7 kg and offers outstanding flexibility during installation. With five optional lenses, complemented by lens shift functions enabling screen adjustments of 60 per cent vertically and 10 per cent horizontally, the projector can adapt to any environment.
A range of intelligent and practical design features in the projector reflect Epson's experience and understanding of the projector marketplace. The control panel is located at the rear of a sleek new chassis, rather than at the top of the unit, which allows easy setup and adjustment with the projector already ceiling mounted. Connections are arranged in two levels, one inside for ceiling installation and another for desktop inputs. A discreet and seamless cable cover is included to hide unsightly wires and connection points. The modular lenses are bayonet-mounted in a single movement and the filter can be easily and safely removed, cleaned or replaced in seconds via a side-hatch.
The Epson EMP Monitor software included with the projector allows it to be configured and operated remotely over a network. Users can take control and monitor the status of the projector from any work station on the network, allowing projector errors, lamp issues and internal temperatures to be monitored centrally. This significantly reduces the time required for maintenance checks, ensuring cost-effective system management.
Epson's innovative EasyMP® technology has been incorporated in the EB-G5350, offering enhanced network functionality and allowing multi-screen display functionality. This allows up to four projectors to be used to present from just one computer wirelessly, creating larger, panoramic or split-screen displays. This is ideal for presentations to larger audiences or where a range of supporting information needs to be displayed.
Connectivity is further enhanced with USB and SD card slot, which allows PC free projection of presentations and other multimedia content directly from USB keys and SD cards. The EB-G5350 supports most file formats including videos in MPEG2, MPEG4 and WMV, meaning content can be downloaded and played directly. Furthermore, data can be saved and edited on an SD card connected to the projector using the network connection - a feature of particular use when the projector is ceiling mounted.
The EB-G5350 is also certified for use with Windows VistaTM Network Projector function. This function ensures the projector can be connected wirelessly within a seconds from the Windows Vista™ Start menu without the need to install any applications or drivers.
