DUBAI, U.A.E., 22nd February 2007 - Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) has signed a deal with Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing for Bell 412 helicopter training.

The multi-year contract was signed at the 8th International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) by His Highness General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of the Interior, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group.

Sheikh Ahmed said: "I am very pleased to welcome the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing to our facility here in Dubai where they will have access to quality flight training in a state-of-the-art full flight simulator and in a very convenient location."

Emirates - CAE Flight Training is approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and both the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Joint Airworthiness Authorities (JAA). 

"The UAE Interior Ministry always looks for quality in training its staff, in addition to supporting local industry," commented Sheikh Saif.  "We are fully confident that the training our pilots will receive at Emirates-CAE Flight Training will raise the standard of their skills."

Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing joins other Bell 212 and 412 operators in the UAE and the Gulf region, who train at the ECFT's Dubai facility, including Dubai Police, Dubai Air Wing, Gulf Helicopters and Saudi Aramco.
