dwp (www.dwp.com) was recently honoured with two wins at the prestigious Commercial Interior Design
Awards 2014, plus a 'Highly Commended', all for their design of the Emaar Headquarters at a ceremony, held in Dubai recently.
Award-winning international architecture and interior design firm dwp | design worldwide partnership added three further accolades to their collection, as they garnered two new design industry awards, plus a 'Highly Commended' distinction, for their interior design of the brand new Emaar HQ, at Emaar Square, in Dubai, UAE.
The annual Commercial Interior Design Awards takes places in the Middle East and is one of the interior design industry's premier and most influential awards. dwp's already award-winning Emaar HQ Corporate Office project won the 'AHEC's Outstanding Use of American Hardwood in the Middle East' award and was also 'Highly Commended' in the 'Interior Design of the Year: Office Category'. Visualisation Manager, Leonardo Cale Lerma, was the recipient of the 'Behind the Scenes Award', as a key element to the success of translating the client's vision into reality, at the presentation stage.
Emaar, as one of the world's currently largest property developers, wanted to reinvigorate their team and have a new vibrant workplace. dwp transformed their vision for the future of their company and brand into an extraordinary design aesthetic, spread over 3 levels and 6,250sqm. The client brief required plenty of natural daylight, long worktables, an open-plan with no doors, taking a loft style, with a collaborative and communicative approach. The results speak volumes, with an impactful and highly efficient workspace, inviting for clients and motivating for the team. Both dwp and Emaar are delighted with the outcome.
