Dubai: Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) introduced the book-borrowing period renewal service on its website, based on its commitment to the continuous improvement of services provided at its public libraries as well as to enhance customer experience, which contributes to improving the satisfaction and meeting the aspirations of all customers.

Visitors of Dubai Public Library branches are now able to renew the return dates of their borrowed books by accessing the Authority’s website www.dubaiculture.gov.ae and following a few quick steps to complete the renewal process. Members need only select the library services, log into their accounts, and choose 'Renew My Materials .

The new service is automatically approved and allows for the renewal of borrowed books for an additional 28 days from the date of the renewal request (once for each book), as long as there are no lateness fines for borrowed library materials.

Dubai Culture manages the network of Dubai Public Library branches, which includes eight libraries for adults and seven for children, in addition to multi-purpose halls and study halls, providing community members with sources of knowledge in the light of efficient services and advanced technologies. All the library's branches are connected to each other and other modern libraries through the latest connectivity and networking technologies, allowing for easy access to a wide range of books across a multitude of topics in both Arabic and English, in addition to other languages for children's stories.
