Initiative offers timely advice for setting up business, exploration of new market and investment opportunities
Dubai, UAE: Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry has initiated a business advisory service for companies looking to expand their footprint in Dubai and to assist its members and the larger business community in managing their companies. This initiative offers one-on-one guidance to entrepreneurs and businesses timely and practical advice regarding setting up, expansion, organizational restructuring, investment opportunities and actual exploration of new potential markets in the UAE and abroad.
Dubai Chamber's Business Support Department is now providing these business advisory services including coaching, mentoring and guidance. This programme offers Advisory Basic and Advisory Plus service options to members. The Advisory Basic provides preliminary informational material, business planning tools and general guidance, while the Advisory Plus package assists in identifying business and market opportunities and specific practical guidance.
The business advisory service is not a consulting service, it offers access to a specially developed knowledgebase through templates and tools as well as information series on markets and operations including choosing a location for your business, signing a commercial lease, rating economic sectors in Dubai, a practical guide to starting a business in Dubai, franchising, writing a business plan and guidance tailored to business and credit rating services.
The advisory service is particularly useful for new firms as it provides guidance in business planning, marketing plan development and feasibility analyses as well as tools and templates to construct balance sheets, cash flow statements, budgets and income statements. For mature businesses the advisors will assist in evaluating new markets and market opportunities, including help to assess international markets and opportunities within UAE and Dubai government procurement programmes. Brand management, marketing and retailing information can also be provided for interested companies.
Dr Belaid Rettab, Senior Executive Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector, informed that this new advisory service comes as part of the overall Dubai Chamber efforts in promoting growth, sustainability and competitiveness in the business community.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Business Support Department has initiated the Business Advisory Services which assists members and non-members in starting and managing their businesses and to provide advisory support to start-ups as well as growing and mature businesses.
Basically, there are two packages on offer including the Advisory Basic and Advisory Plus service.
The Advisory Basic provides preliminary informational material, business planning tools and general guidance, while the Advisory Plus package assists in identifying business and market opportunities and specific practical guidance to help firms chart their own paths towards future success.
The Business Advisory Services provide one-on-one guidance to entrepreneurs and businesses. This is not a consulting service and it offer access to a specially developed knowledgebase, guidance tailored to your business, as well as a menu of market surveillance and credit rating services.

George, who is a MBA/MA, has served as a Teaching Fellow in Strategic Management at Athens Information Technology (AIT), teaching in the MBIT program. He holds an MBA in Business Administration from Marymount University with a focus in Finance and Merger and Acquisitions and an MA in International Affairs with a concentration in International Political Economy from the American University where he studied with a School of International Service Graduate Fellowship. He brings several years of intensive experience in academia, corporate training and the consulting industry. In his current position, he writes guides, develops business support tools for businesses and offers business advisory services.
