United Arab Emirates: Volkswagen Middle East is gearing up to host the fourth edition of its annual Dub Drive event and it promises to be the biggest one yet. Bringing together car enthusiasts from across the GCC region, the event will welcome Volkswagen R brand ambassador, four-time U.S. rallycross champion and multiple world record winner, Tanner Foust, for the first time.
As a professional racing and stunt driver, Tanner Foust has featured in films such as The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift, The Bourne franchise and Need for Speed. He has won four X-Games gold medals, two Formula Drift championships, driven a car through a 66-foot loop and scored the indoor speed record for TV’s Top Gear USA. Dub Drive 2020 will be the first time Foust visits the UAE and he will be pulling off an exhilarating and extraordinary stunt.
The globally recognised festival will be held at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on Friday, February 7th. To set the scene, a convoy of Volkswagen cars will drive through the streets of Abu Dhabi showcasing an impressive convoy, supported by the Abu Dhabi Police Department.
The event is suitable for the whole family with attractions including music, food trucks, a kids driving school, racing simulators, 4x4 driving experiences, car show, drifting and drag racing.
Arriving in style in unique Volkswagen models are clubs from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Sultanate Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Guests can look forward to a spectacular display of cars while being entertained through a hive of activity.
