About The Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental Muscat
When the Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental Muscat was designed some twenty five years ago the brief was simple. To build a palatial property, able to host the leaders of some of the world's richest nations, the six member states of the Gulf Co-operation Council. And now with the return to Muscat of the GCC Summit in late 2008 the hotel is undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment, which will see it surpass its palatial past and position it as one of the most luxurious resorts in the world. From the majesty of the 38 metres high lobby, complete with its exquisite centre-piece crystal chandelier, to the acres of lush beachfront landscaping, exiting redevelopment of rooms and suites, public areas, restaurants and bars, this is truly a refurbishment on an unprecedented scale. In order to meet these super high standards even in the guest bathrooms the interior designers Heitz-Parsons-Sadek have chosen Dornbracht to supply their highly elegant mixer range Tara.Logic, which is based on the design language of the famous Tara Classic but more elegant and refined in design.
About Dornbracht
Aloys F. Dornbracht GmbH & Co. KG , headquartered in Iserlohn, Germany, is an internationally active manufacturer of high-quality designer fittings and accessories for bathrooms and kitchens. The company frequently receives international design awards for its products and since 1996, has also been acclaimed for its ongoing commitment to culture. Since April 2006 Dornbracht has been publishing a bathroom and kitchen edition of ''Dornbracht - the SPIRIT of WATER', which documents Dornbracht's self-image as a company of cultural relevance and highlights the spectrum of the Dornbracht brand. A magazine and catalogue in one, the publication is the successful link between inspiration, dialogue and innovation that characterizes Dornbracht's unique approach and way of working.
In 1969 Dornbracht launched the first ever designer fitting on the market - the Armatur 2000 - thereby blazing a trail for a completely new market segment in the area of bathroom design. The company continued its design-based orientation in 1984 by entering into collaboration with the internationally renowned designer Dieter Sieger. DOMANI, the first single-hand mixer developed by him for Dornbracht, became a much-copied trendsetter. Among others this was followed by the internationally renowned series TARA, whose pared-down archetypal form simply became a synonym for the name of Dornbracht, and finally MEM - the encounter between man and water possibly in its most original form.
