Air tickets to 10 global destinations to be auctioned off on Souq.com this September - and all auctions start from AED 1!

Dubai: Air tickets to 10 global destinations - including London, Beirut and Mumbai - are up for grabs this Ramadan as part of an exciting travel promotion launched by Dnata Travel and Souq.com, the award-winning online auction marketplace.

The tickets - prices of which start from AED 1 - will be auctioned off on Souq.com, and can be bid for by logging on to the webpage www.souq.com/dnata. The auctions run from the 3rd to 24th of September.

"This unique promotion brings the exciting world of auctions and eCommerce to the travel industry," said Sameh Lutfi, Sales & Marketing Manager of Souq.com. "The idea behind the travel offer is to provide our users and UAE residents who plan on spending the Eid holidays in their native countries with a chance to do so at affordable prices."

"As the UAE's largest online marketplace, this is one of the fun ways that Souq.com uses to let everyone know that there is always something on Souq for everyone," Lutfi added.

A Majid Al Mulla, VP, Dnata Travel, said: "The internet is becoming an increasingly important way for us to reach our customers. People in this region are just beginning to discover the benefits of online booking and at Dnata Travel we can now offer our customers the ease and convenience of a fully bookable and payable online system at www.dnatatravel.com."

"Promotions such as the Ramadan travel offer enable us to reach out to a broad audience and we chose to partner with Souq.com, who are one of the leading sites in the region."

Besides London, Beirut and Mumbai, other destinations to which air tickets are offered under the Ramadan promotion include Bangkok, Manila, Cairo, Cochin, Colombo, Damascus and Karachi. Further information on aspects such as auction days for specific destinations and live auction details can be accessed by visiting Souq.com.

Launched in 2005, Souq.com has grown to become the favourite online destination for individuals and businesses in the UAE to buy and sell goods and services.
