Hwang Kwang-Soo, vice president of KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation), will visit the UAE with a delegation of six South Korean companies to meet with major local electricity distribution authorities and identify opportunities in the country. The meetings are scheduled to be held at the Etihad Towers Hotel in Abu Dhabi on September 8th, 2019.
The delegation, headed by Mr. Hyun, aims to conduct B2B meetings with local organizations for identifying opportunities in the UAE, as well as other Middle Eastern markets. This is a tremendous opportunity for local electric businesses to discuss their innovative ideas with the most advanced nuclear power plant manufacturers in the world.
KEPCO is the main contractor of the 24.4 Billion USD Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, which is expected to begin operations in 2020 in the UAE. The main aim of KEPCO is to facilitate electric power source development in order to fulfill electric power supply in the nation, as well as become a part of its national economy.
