The adapter complies with the latest wireless networking security features, including 64/128-bit WEP encryption and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) support for both 802.1x and WPA-PSK. The DWL-G120 is also capable of supporting the government-grade AES encryption and upcoming 802.11i standards with future firmware upgrades.
"Our strict compliance with the latest IEEE 802.11g and USB 2.0 standards means the DWL-G120 will be interoperable with any compliant hardware," said Wilson C. Xavier, Business & Support Manager, D-Link Middle East. "The USB adapter is a great addition to our robust, award-winning Xtreme G family of wireless products, because it gives users 11G speeds in a flexible device that is completely transportable between multiple computers."
The newest addition to the award-winning Xtreme G family of products, the D-Link DWL-G120 is a plug-and-play USB 2.0 device that can operate in multiple modes, including Ad-Hoc mode, connecting point-to-point users without the need of an access point, and Infrastructure mode, connecting to a wireless residential gateway via a xDSL/Cable modem for high-speed wireless Internet access or for sharing resources across a network. With its included 5-foot USB cable, the wireless USB adapter can be positioned virtually anywhere to achieve the best-possible wireless connection.
