Manama:– FinMark Communications today announced the launch of the “Design Your Future” campaign in Strategic Partnership with the Higher Education Council (HEC) and the support of Lead Finance Partner CrediMax.

The event took place at the Athar monument, which was unveiled last December on the occasion of Bahraini Women's Day by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women. The monument honors the accomplishments of Bahraini women and their efforts in a variety of professions.

The official launch of the "Design Your Future" campaign was attended by H.E. Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Board of Education and members of her team, Mr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Seyadi, CEO of CrediMax and members of his team, as well as representatives of leading corporates, local universities and training institutes and other organizations involved in human resources development alongside media.

“Design Your Future” has been established to support and encourage high-school graduates, university students, and those enrolled in vocational training programs to take a more active approach to planning for and building their futures. The campaign further aims to contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to accelerate human capital development and educate and build a highly effective and well-trained workforce, one of the many critical goals of its economic Vision 2030.

During the launch, members of the Advisory Committee for the Design Your Future campaign were announced, consisting of members from various organizations such as Tamkeen, Higher Education Council (HEC), Injaz Bahrain, KPMG, NGN International a life coach and distinguished students from different universities in the Kingdom. On the sidelines of the launch, the campaign’s logo was revealed in addition to the announcement of the campaign’s social media channels.

Commenting, Mr. Ahmed Abdelrahman Seyadi, CEO of CrediMax: “We are pleased to support this campaign as part of CrediMax’s social responsibility initiatives and our commitment to investing in the education of young people. Training and development of human capital are one of CrediMax's most important goals and one of the pillars of its human wealth development strategy.”

He also stated that CrediMax is the first company in Bahrain to launch a credit card for undergraduate students and believes in the need for management and financial planning education for young people, emphasizing the importance of such community partnerships between private and government sector, which contribute to the achievement of the objectives of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Ms. Zahraa Taher, Managing Director of FinMark Communications, added, “We are delighted to announce the official launch of Design Your Future, which aims to achieve a variety of objectives including supporting and guiding students during this important phase of their lives, enhancing their ability to make the right decisions about their future in education and occupation and developing their various life skills, which will have a positive effect on their performance in the fields of education and work.”

“Given the accelerating changes in the nature of the labor market, both locally and worldwide, we anticipate that Design Your Future will improve students' access to career opportunities that match their skills and interests, while also promoting sustainable economic development and growth in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Additionally, we are eager to collaborate and form partnerships with other private sector companies and institutions across industries that wish to support the campaign,” she concluded.

Ms. Taher also extended her sincere thanks to the HEC, which will provide support and guidance in designing campaign programs and help ensure that Design Your Future reaches the target groups of students, as well as to CrediMax, which will develop and launch a series of activities aimed at promoting financial literacy as well as giving students exposure to future career opportunities in the financial industry in Bahrain.

The campaign, which will run over a 12-month period, is holistic in nature and comprised of a well-designed and varied program of activities targeting hands-on learning and growth. Highly interactive sessions and events are being planned with the support of HR, education, and multi-industry experts. 

The campaign will start with “Future Card” Design Competition, which will be designed by Credimax and targeted at the students, more details will be shared.

“Future Hunt”, a one-day fun-filled event geared towards those between the ages of 18 to 23, will be conducted this year as a part of the campaign. To be designed under the guidance and direction of the Campaign's Advisory Committee,  the event, which will consist of games focusing on fund management, financial planning and other skills needed to develop and prepare for the future.

The Annual Quiz Show, organized by FinMark Communications since 2011, will also be held as part of the campaign. The competing  teams in this year's edition will be made up of students and employees from various organisations that will share and exchange knowledge. .

The Campaign will also organized a “Skills Day”, an event comprised of workshops, exhibitions, and accompanying activities focused on building the fundamental skills a student needs to shape his or her future. In conjunction with the Design Your Future campaign, a student competition will be announced later this year.
