Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, an authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia since 1955, unveiled the 2023 Toyota Urban Cruiser, the latest addition to Toyota's growing compact SUV lineup in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The all-new five-seater compact SUV offers outstanding fuel efficiency, redefined design, a spacious interior and advanced features.

The 2023 Urban Cruiser’s sleek, crossover SUV-like design exudes style and sophistication, providing a comfortable and convenient ride that caters to the requirements of today's active lifestyles. The vehicle features a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine and a New Neo Drive Powertrain that supports with decreasing fuel consumption with a fuel economy of 19.8 km/l and an integrated starter generator (ISG), which functions as an electrified generator and motor. The vehicle delivers 101 hp and 135 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that offers enhanced performance during low-speed and stop-start conditions.

The 2023 Urban Cruiser’s highly-rigid body and suspension and a 5.4-meter turning radius for greater maneuverability contribute to its outstanding handling, stability, and ride comfort. In addition, the vehicle boasts MacPherson strut-type front suspension, ensuring a smooth and secure ride with direct and linear driving dynamics. Meanwhile, the back is fitted with a torsion beam suspension system, which enhances stability even when cruising at high speeds or taking sharp turns.

The exterior of the compact five-seater is characterized by a unique crystal acrylic upper grille with premium chrome garnish, giving it a modern and advanced appearance. The design is further enhanced by a wide lateral bar that flows from each daytime running lamp (DRL) and crosses through the Toyota emblem. The trapezoidal lower grille embodies a toughness reminiscent of the popular Fortuner, and a distinctive character line runs from the front to the rear, expressing length and presence. The vehicle's 17-inch alloy wheels complement its overall appearance, while a chrome garnish at the back connects the two combination lamps to create an advanced impression.

The spacious cabin offers comfort and convenience, with an outstanding field of view that immensely enhances the driver and passenger experience. Its wide instrument panel, with soft padding throughout the interior, exudes refined elegance. In addition, the vehicle’s head-up display, 4.2-inch color Thin Film Transistor (TFT) multi-information display, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel equipped with an audio system and vehicle operation controls all make for a seamless driving experience no matter where the road takes you.

With a dual-sliding panoramic roof and a 7-inch or 9-inch multimedia screen, the vehicle comes with seamless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM integration and a wireless smartphone charging system. The interior offers a dual-sliding panoramic roof with three USB ports, a six-speaker sound system, a powerful rear AC vent and 60/40 split and reclining seats.

The 2023 Urban Cruiser also comes in seven exciting exterior hues: Pearl White, Metallic Silver, Metallic Grey, Pearl Red, Pearl Black, Brown Color, and Blue. Further personalization is made possible with the addition of several dual-tone variants - Pearl Black can be combined with Pearl White, Metallic Silver, Pearl Red or Speedy Blue. The vehicle’s interior features a stylish color scheme, with mono-tone Black and dual-tone Black and Bordeaux options. The new Toyota Urban Cruiser also comes with 17-inch wheels, further adding to its powerful, luxurious look.

In addition to comfort, performance and handling, guests will enjoy greater peace of mind thanks to Toyota’s world-class safety features, such as six SRS airbags (front airbags for the driver and passenger, side airbags for the front seats, and side-curtain airbags for the front and rear seats), 3-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seatbelts for all, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control (TRC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), Rear Parking Sensors, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and many more.
