The Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) recommended the need to redouble efforts in the UAE, in particular, and in the GCC countries, in general, to carry out specialized economic studies and research periodically to follow up the reality and future of the Gulf local economy, with a view to developing the competitive elements and advantages of the UAE and Gulf economy, supporting decision-makers, and limiting the negative consequences and impacts generated by the global economy.

The Board of Directors stressed that the Ajman Chamber should continue its efforts in encouraging its private sector member establishments to adopt alternative energy sources and pay attention to the circular economy in order to preserve resources, double production, and enhance the competitiveness of the local products in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may Allah protect him, about the "Year of Sustainability", and with the aim of enhancing the Emirate's positive participation in addition to the UAE's preparations to host the World Climate Conference "COP 28".

This came during the first meeting of the ACCI Board of Directors for the current year, that is chaired by H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the ACCI.

The meeting was hold at the ACCI's headquarters and attended by H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Second Vice Chairman of the ACCI, the Board members, and H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the ACCI.

At the beginning of the meeting, H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji welcomed the attendees and extended congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may Allah protect him, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may Allah protect him, and H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Ruler of the Emirate of Ajman and a member of the UAE Supreme Council, "may Allah protect him" and their brothers, the Rulers of the Emirates, and to H.H Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and the Crown Princes.

The attendees were briefed on the results of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX 2023), in its 10th edition, with the participation of more than 40 leading universities and educational institutions from inside and outside the UAE and more than 4,000 visitors. The AETEX 2023 is an international platform to support the education sector and increase its investments in Ajman and the country in general. It has also a role in supporting the economic sector by providing the labor market with academic specializations compatible with the jobs offered, in addition to exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation in the academic and research fields between universities from inside and outside the UAE.

The meeting reviewed the Ajman Chamber's agenda of external participation and the project of the development of the Ajman Center for Entrepreneurship and ways to develop its role in providing competitive services to business owners as well as government and semi-governmental bodies to benefit from the training halls, conference and exhibitions specialized halls provided by the Center.
