Dubai, UAE, 28 November, 2004: One of Switzerland's most famous historic hotels, the Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, is giving Middle East travellers the chance to discover the tastes of the season on Lake Geneva's oldest and most beautiful steamboat this winter.

Le Montreux, a 100-year old classic belle poque steamboat is treating its clientele to a special Christmas Lunch-Cruise on each Advent Sunday throughout the month of December.

On 5th, 12th and 19th December, visitors will board the steamer from the pier adjacent to the hotel and be transported to the Christmas market in Montreux to enjoy all the cherished sights and sounds that Christmas in Switzerland has to offer. While on board Le Montreux, guests will be presented with a wide variety of holiday cuisine while enjoying on-board entertainment for children and stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains.

A symbol of Lake Geneva's steamboat history, the vessel has been restored to its former glory with elegant turn of the century interiors, while also having reverted to the use of the traditional paddle and turbine to help it glide through the waters.

"Christmas Lunch-Cruises on Lake Geneva are a truly wonderful, relaxing way of taking in Lake Geneva's breathtaking scenery, while enjoying the unique experience of atmospheric lakeside Christmas shopping" said Franois Dussart, general manager of the Beau-Rivage Palace.

The Beau-Rivage Palace will be embracing the Christmas spirit itself with festive menus in its restaurants and Christmas lights and decorations all around.  The centre-piece of which, will be a huge Christmas tree in the hotel's foyer welcoming all that come.

Hotel reservations for the Beau-Rivage Palace can be made via email (info@brp.ch) or a telephone hotline +41 21 613 3333.
