New mall located at Mamzar set to open in early 2003
Century Mall, the new shopping experience set to open in the Al Mamzar area of Dubai in the first quarter of 2003, has announced a unique themed family entertainment centre spread across 25,000 square feet, adjacent to the food court on the mezzanine floor.
The state-of-the-art entertainment centre, Jungle Bungle, will bring together many all-time favourite jungle characters in a realistic jungle setting, including Tarzan, who will interact with visitors as well as take part in a jungle parade round the mall.
“Jungle Bungle has been created to bring alive the mystical aura of the jungle,” said David Rowbotham, General Manager, Century Mall. “The theme has been inspired by ancient times when jungles were cloaked in mystery, fairy tales and wizardry. All these aspects will be interwoven to create Jungle Bungle, the region’s first jungle-themed family entertainment centre.”
“Jungle Bungle will also feature one of the largest themed multi-level adventure playgrounds, packed with games and rides, including traditional family rides and video games,” added Mr. Rowbotham. “The entire venue will throb with fun activities where the whole family can enjoy a whole new experience in entertainment.”
The Jungle Bungle family entertainment centre has been designed more as a value-added amenity for shoppers rather than a profit centre, to offer low-priced rides and games. Jungle Bungle will also offer creche facilities, birthday party packages and live events in which children will be encouraged to participate and win prizes.
“The jungle theme will percolate down to the rest of the mall as well,” enthused Mr. Rowbotham. “Characters from Jungle Bungle will take part in a parade that will wind its way through the mall at regular intervals, creating a whole new ambience not found in other shopping malls.”
Century Mall, which is being developed as a distinctive shopping mall in Mamzar area, will offer a varied choice of fashion stores, food outlets and a hypermarket. Spread across an area of 300,000 sq. ft, adjacent to Al Shabab Club, the mall has attracted several major retailers.
Century Mall has been promoted by the Sharjah-based Safeer Group of Companies, backed by 25 years of marketing experience in the Gulf region. The group runs hypermarkets, manufacturing units, furniture stores and fashion stores across the UAE.
