Kuwait City: Ms. May Al Mudhaf, Chief Investment Banking & Treasury Officer - Senior General Manager, from Burgan Bank recently participated in the Sixth Form lecture programme at the New English School (NES). Her lecture focused on the important life skills that young people should aim to acquire and develop; critical thinking, respect, empathy, cooperation, a sense of teamwork, respect for the environment around them, respect for others and a sense of attachment to their community. These are skills which are firmly embodied in the life of the sixth form at NES.
Burgan Bank is committed to defined principles and values which have been a key driver of its success. Its objective as an organization goes beyond financial performance; the bank also measures its success by its efforts to make a positive difference and change in the community. Integrating the essence of corporate citizenship throughout its operations has been core to its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and framework whereby decisions are made based not only on financial and economic factors, but also on the social and environmental ones.
The Bank's interaction with leading educational institutions in Kuwait, such as the New English School, is a natural extension of its policy to work in the community and is one of several initiatives it has taken and which it will continue to develop.
