Forum underlines the need for better understanding of Strategy Implementation

Dubai, March 28th 2010: In the current scenario of economic slowdown, adoption of a strategy is meaningless, if not implemented well. The need of the hour is right understanding, implementation, employee involvement in the strategy and most of all retention of clients. These critical issues will be discussed by motivational speakers, Dr Robert Kaplan and Dr David Norton during the Balance Scorecard Forum (BSC) 2010, to be held from March 27 - April 1, 2010 at the JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai.

The highlight will be the New Strategy Execution System, which will educate participants on building a Strategy Map. The two business management gurus - Dr Kaplan and Dr Norton - emphasize how it is essential for companies to develop new products and services, while also continuing to invest in technology, even during slow growth periods.

"The right adoption of the Balanced Scorecard strategy will help organizations evade a crisis and cope with it in future. It is important that employees understand the strategies when they are implemented so that the goal is well-achieved," says Dr Robert Kaplan, Baker Foundation Professor at the Harvard Business School.

Two key facets to the strategy are focus and alignment. The Balance Scorecard helps organizations achieve this goal through quick response, right adaptation and immediate execution turnarounds.

Says Dr. David Norton, director of Palladium and co-founder of Balanced Scorecard Collaborative, "Introducing a strategy is everyone's job but it cannot be executed from the top, employee involvement is very essential. Strategy is the focal point, having a strategy map is the critical enabler and finally, describing the strategy and converting it into measures is what helps organizations tide the crisis."
