Chamber hosts Mediation workshop in cooperation with Singapore Mediation Center

The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR-AAA) last week organized a three day mediation training workshop in cooperation with the Singapore Mediation Center for a group of professionals from the education, insurance and legal advisory sector.

The workshop, which was delivered by Mr. George Lim from the Singapore Mediation Center, focused on managing conflicts and resolving disputes effectively through mediation and its benefits to the dispute parties.

Ali Al Aradi, Chief Registrar and Assistant CEO for Mediation said:  "The training of Bahraini professionals forms a major part of the Chamber's strategy to provide the best practices in mediation and to promote alternative dispute resolution solutions in the region and internationally.

"Mediation should be the first port of call for parties in dispute.  Its confidential facilitated negotiation process is a fast and cost-effective means of resolving the dispute, potentially saving thousands in legal fees."

The chamber hosts the Singapore Mediation Centre for the second time to deliver mediation training; Mr. George Lim from the SMC praised the skills of the Bahraini professionals.

The BCDR-AAA is a one-stop-shop for alternative dispute resolution and is a major pillar to Bahrain's status as a world-class business and investment environment.
