First Prepaid Mobile Broadband Services in the Kingdom
Batelco is delighted to announce that its popular mobile Broadband service is now available as a prepaid package, the first such service in the Kingdom of Bahrain. With the exciting new service Batelco customers can enjoy Prepaid Mobile Broadband browsing speeds at a very economical cost. It allows data card users to access the internet at high speeds, of up to 3.6MB, on any device that supports HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) technology, such as HSDPA mobile phones, HSDPA equipped laptops and Batelco O-net cards.
The Prepaid Mobile Broadband service allows customers quit worrying about internet bills by providing control on their usage. On top of that, Batelco offers free SMSs with the package and a variety of refill options for customer convenience. Over and above, customers can always monitor their usage by requesting the balance through sms.
Batelco O-net Mobile Broadband service was launched as a postpaid service at the beginning of the year under the umbrella of Batelco's 'O' Services, which was launched on The Kingdom's National Day 2007. The O-net service comes with a Data Card that enables customers to browse the Internet, send and receive SMS, chat using existing instant messaging service and access business applications, anywhere and anytime. Large volumes of data such as large e-mail attachments can be downloaded faster than ever before. The Postpaid Mobile Broadband comes in variety of choices to suit any lifestyle inclusive of free SMSs on monthly basis.
