Angsana Laguna Phuket - Flagship Property
Scheduled to open by 1 December 2011, Angsana Laguna Phuket, the designated flagship property for the Angsana brand, is set to define the new breed of Angsana properties in the pipeline for the Banyan Tree Group. This follows the recent announcement of the Group's take-over, closure and major renovations (to the sum of US$30 million) of the Sheraton Grande Laguna from 1 July, to reopen as the flagship Angsana Laguna Phuket.
The team at Architrave Design & Planning has designed Angsana Laguna Phuket to reflect the key Angsana brand personality of 'stylish, practical and caring'. Using a palette of vibrant colours with purple as the main colour theme, threading it through tastefully to provide detailed accents and warmth to the resort. The design style and feel is contemporary, catering to the affluent, stylish and energetic holiday-maker, many of whom will come from Asia. Major landscaping work will also be carried out to add to its lush surroundings and enhance the existing tropical island resort theme.
Designed to attract both MICE groups and FITs, Angsana Laguna Phuket will feature a newly designed group check-in lounge and an array of exciting dining concepts including a Mediterranean restaurant, the signature Rice Bar, Beach Club and a unique Destination Dining venue - for unobstructed views of the hotel and the surroundings.
With a violet and dark blue meandering swimming pool positioned as the central feature in the verdant landscape, the resort features a new room category - targeted at Families. It is furnished with two daybeds designed for parents travelling with small children. Another innovative concept is Tree House - an innovative concept for children and teenagers, featuring different rooms for participants with varying interests; play areas, arts and craft, internet stations, pool tables, and a movie corner.
For stays from 1 December 2011, enquiries and reservations services for Angsana Laguna Phuket may be made via reservations@angsana.com or telephone +65 6849 5788.
Angsana Balaclava
Set in Mauritius' picturesque Baie aux Tortues, or Turtle Bay, and ten minutes away from the capital of Port Louis, Angsana Balaclava is scheduled to open in the third quarter of this year. The Group's first resort in this destination, Angsana Balaclava features 39 suites and 11 villas that are designed to reflect all that is uniquely Mauritian - the fusion of Oriental, Occidental and African cultural influences. The architecture and interior of Angsana Balaclava features thatched roofs, rattan wall coverings as well as stone flooring.
Angsana Hangzhou
Following Banyan Tree Hangzhou's debut in December 2009, Angsana Hangzhou is slated to open in the third quarter within the integrated Xixi Paradise development in China's famed Xixi National Wetlands Park. The contemporary hotel features 59 rooms infused with stylish chinois touches for an enlivening retreat amid lush natural surrounds.
Facilities at Angsana Hangzhou include an all-day-dining restaurant with outdoor terrace, a poolside bar alongside an open-air roof garden, meeting facilities and library.
