Bahrain, 24 July 2013: Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) organized a Gergaon night at the Bahrain International Airport on Tuesday, 23rd of July, in keeping with the local tradition which marks the middle of the holy month of Ramadan with Gergaon celebrations.
The event took place by the Ramadan tent at the departures area in the airport, where members of BAC staff distributed traditional gifts and treats to children and passengers at the airport. This comes in line with the company's efforts in promoting the local culture and traditional heritage, as the company organizes a number of similar events every year including Ramadan hospitality tent offering Arabic coffee and dates throughout the holy month. BAC welcomes all travelers during the Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr to visit the tent and experience the Bahraini culture.
Note to mention, BAC is the authority responsible for operating and managing Bahrain International Airport as a world-class airport. As part of its' operator role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport's infrastructure and services. This set to improve the Kingdom's aviation capabilities; and to cater for the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of the airport's stakeholders.
