Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) concluded its participation at Ajman Government’s pavilion at GITEX Technology Week on Thursday. GITEX 2019 was held at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 6th to 10th.
ATDD’s participation was a remarkable success. Its stand was visited by a large number of visitors and official delegations who learned about the many distinctive services and agreements that ATDD provides to Ajman tourism sector’s tourists, customers and investors.
HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, ATDD Director General, said, “ATDD’s participation in GITEX 2019, the largest and most important event in the region for advanced technology, was an opportunity to introduce the public to the latest technological experiences and innovative projects, including solutions for the tourism sector and information and facilities designed to provide Ajman’s visitors with exceptional experiences.”
His Excellency explained that, during GITEX, ATDD held several meetings, signed agreements with partners and reviewed the latest technology used in the tourism sector. ATDD is keen to keep pace with technological developments and to provide the best smart services in order to improve visitor and customer satisfaction and enhance and facilitate the tourism experience in an interesting and distinctive way.
During GITEX, ATDD showcased several new services and agreements, the most prominent of which was the Electronic Connectivity Project. The project uses artificial intelligence to link to hotel establishments and obtain accurate statistical data and forecasts on a daily basis without human intervention, enabling staff at both hotel establishments and ATDD to perform other tasks.ATDD signed several agreements during the exhibition, including an agreement with Flabuless FZ LLC to develop a smart phone application to motivate employees by rewarding them with points based on specific criteria and standards. ATDD and TrustYou agreed to develop a second version of the Tourist Experience programme, which will help to create a database with information about the performance of the Emirate’s tourist attractions. This information, which will include visitor feedback and descriptions of the attractions’ strengths and weaknesses, will be used to enhance the attractions and the sustainability of the tourism sector in line with the strategic objectives of Ajman Vision 2021.
Mr. Mohammed Al Bloushi Director of IT Section at ATDD: “ we showcased this year the Smart Reception System, which aims to facilitate and expedite procedures and create a comprehensive database of ATDD’s customers and visitors. The system will be available on ATDD's website, and users will be able to make appointments with officials at ATDD’s headquarters and use ATDD services remotely. The e-Portal will provide and disseminate data, enhance transparency, boost economic growth and improve ATDD’s services, and everyone can access and use the user-friendly database”.
Ajman Tourism Development Department launched Ajman Media Hub during GITEX Technology Week 2019. This user-friendly system with images, videos, documents and other marketing tools related to the Emirate of Ajman will be available to the Department’s partners, customers and the media. ATDD also launched the Future Projections Service, which uses artificial intelligence to predict the hotel sector’s performance in terms of occupancy rates and visitor numbers..
